Evidence and publication policy

No resident submission is automatically published. The website is currently not accepting submissions.

Submission review workflow

  1. Private intake: A future submission goes to restricted storage, never directly to a public gallery. Do not send sensitive information until the private intake system is launched and its privacy notice is available.
  2. Safety and relevance: Review whether the material relates to a specific community concern and appears to have been collected lawfully.
  3. Verification: Check dates, locations and primary sources. Categorize information as official finding, documented observation, allegation requiring verification, or open question.
  4. Privacy review: Remove faces, vehicle plates, addresses, EXIF/GPS and other clues that could identify people in public copies. Do not claim that redaction guarantees anonymity.
  5. Publication decision: Publish only necessary excerpts with sufficient context and rights or permission. Reject harassment, threats, doxxing, rumours and unsupported accusations. Seek clarification or expert/legal review for high-risk allegations.
  6. Correction and removal: Record source dates, distinguish later corrections and provide a process for requests to correct or remove information after an appropriate privacy-safe contact channel is established.
